Update
What’s this? I forgot I had a blog. Funny.
Hello dear readers! I’ve missed you. Here’s an update on my life:
1. I have successfully (or did they say “sufficiently”?) completed my first year of grad school! I’m half way to a Master’s degree. Everyone may call me “Master” in one year’s time.
2. I have 6 weeks left until I will finally be past my first year of teaching. Imagine how much better I will be the second time around…seriously…a lot better. I LOVE every one of my students like my own and I will miss them so much! I’m trying to enjoy every day I have left with them, despite being desperately burnt out and wholly exhausted. They bring such beauty and inspiration to my life. I will never forget this first class.
3. I am coaching a boys volleyball team at school. It’s fun! We’re 5-2 right now with two more games to go. Wish us luck! Middle school boys are awkward, aggressive, annoying, and awful! But we’re having a good time. They laugh at me and I laugh at them. We have an understanding.
4. I started a yearbook club for next year. 16 middle schoolers signed up! I told them I needed student perspective for the yearbook…when really I’m mostly interested in student labor. I’m excited for a new year with new experiences once again!
5. Speaking of new experiences, my school will be getting a new principal and new Kindergarten, 3rd, and 8th grade teachers for next year! Yikes! Let’s just say money drama went down and they’re cleaning house/people are nervous about new management. I hope this means positive change for St. Paul School. God knows it needs some.
6. I just celebrated 3 months of being in a relationship! Things are good. If you’d like further updates on this subject, you can ask me.
7. I did not end up auditioning for Glee. Haha! I’ll get my big break one day.
Welp, that’s all I can think of right now…I’ll try to remember I have this blog.
